Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has said Kylian Mbappe is too expensive for the club. Reports this week, that the Reds were considering joining the race to sign the Paris Saint-Germain forward, who has been heavily linked with Real Madrid. But while Klopp is a big fan of the 20-year-old, he stressed that Liverpool simply can’t afford to sign Mbappe. “Ok, from a sporting point of view, there are not a lot of reasons to not sign Mbappe, what a player he is. “But it is about the money of course. No chance. Absolutely no chance, sorry for killing that story. I don’t think there is a club in the world that can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG. And we are involved in that too. We cannot do it, it is as easy as that. “We have nothing [more] to say about it to be honest, but [buying] this calibre of player is difficult,” Klopp told reporters on Friday. Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has spoken out on the conversation he had with Bayern Munich’s hierarchy this week. Wenger is one of the names linked with the Bundesliga champions, after they sacked Niko Kovac. “On Wednesday afternoon, [Karl-Heinz] Rummenigge called me. “I could not answer at that moment and out of politeness I called him back. He was in his car to the game against Olympiacos. “We talked for four to five minutes maximum and he told me that they’ve signed [Hans-Dieter] Flik to be the coach. “He will manage the next two games, because they play Borussia Dortmund tomorrow [on Saturday]. “He asked me if I’d be interested because they are looking for a coach, I told him I didn’t have any thoughts about it. It needs some time to think about. “We decided together we will talk next week, because I’m in Doha until Sunday night. This is the true story. “I wish well to Bayern, which is actually at a turning point because [Uli] Hoeness, a key man for this club, is leaving. “Rummenigge will leave in one year, it seems the future is uncertain. “And this club which has always managed stuff by being very discreet and direct is today very exposed with rumours coming from everywhere. “For myself, I wish good luck to Bayern and for me the situation is clear,” Wenger told beIN Sports. EPL: What Lampard said after Chelsea 2-0 win against Crystal Palace

November 9, 2019 Loadedrace 0

The manager of Chelsea Football Club, Frank Lampard, has expressed satisfaction with the way his team played against Crystal Palace on Saturday. Chelsea had on Saturday defeated Crystal Palace 2-0 to climb to the second place on the English Premiership table. However, Lampard while addressing a post-match press conference, said he was happy with the way the team started both halves of the game. Lampard said it was a difficult decision putting “Reece James in for the in-form Cesar Azpilicueta because of everything our captain offers on and off the pitch, but he feels vindicated by the youngster’s performance on what was his full Premier League debut.” According to Lampard: “It was a nice solid win with a clean sheet. “I was delighted with our game management, and I got as much joy out of Zouma and Tomori’s performances in defence, and the midfielders shielding in front of them, as I did our attacking play.” (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = ‘https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v3.2&appId=420332301344305&autoLogAppEvents=1’; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = ‘https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v3.2&appId=181005951975036&autoLogAppEvents=1’; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

EPL: Joe Cole blasts Zaha after Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace

November 9, 2019 Loadedrace 0

Former Chelsea winger, Joe Cole, has slammed Ivory Coast international, Wilfried Saha, over his underwhelming performance in Crystal Palace’s 2-0 loss to the Blues in the Premier League on Saturday. Cole said Zaha must do more after his poor display in the 2-0 loss at Stamford Bridge. Zaha struggled to make a key impact as second-half goals from Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic condemned them to defeat. The 26-year-old was in action for 90 minutes, making just one key pass but did not register a single shot on target. “I’m disappointed with Zaha today. Reece James has got in his head,” Cole told BT Sport. “He’s let a young full-back dominate him. This Zaha five minutes ago was saying he wanted a move to the big clubs. He said he wanted to go and play for this club, that club. “Reece James has come on his debut, got in his head and a player of his quality letting the ball under his feet. “I think credit to Reece James but Wilf Zaha needs to show more if he wants to make that next step.” (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = ‘https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v3.2&appId=420332301344305&autoLogAppEvents=1’; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = ‘https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v3.2&appId=181005951975036&autoLogAppEvents=1’; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

EPL: Lampard reveals what he told Tammy Abraham before he scored in 2-0 win over Crystal Palace

November 9, 2019 Loadedrace 0

Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard, has revealed what he told his striker, Tammy Abraham, during their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday Lampard also said that the Nigerian-born England international has proved himself to be a ‘top striker’ this season. The 22-year-old became joint-top goalscorer in the Premier League with ten goals in 2019/20 after he scored another during the Blues’ win over Crystal Palace. After a frustrating first half, Chelsea got the breakthrough on 52 minutes when Abraham latched onto Willian’s clever flick before slotting the ball home. Christian Pulisic added another with a header to seal the 2-0 win. Abraham initially struggled to find joy against the Palace defence and Lampard admitted he urged his striker to liven up at half time. When asked by talkSPORT if he spoke to Abraham at the break, Lampard said: “Yeah, I did. “He was slightly off it in the first half for his usual self but it was a tough game – there wasn’t much room in behind, there wasn’t much room to his feet and I said to him that sometimes the games can just be like that. “He needed to liven up a bit but if you stick with it then you’ll get your moment and top strikers do. At the moment he’s proved himself to be that this season. “The question is can he keep doing it? But what I see from his mentality and desire, I believe he can.” (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = ‘https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v3.2&appId=420332301344305&autoLogAppEvents=1’; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = ‘https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v3.2&appId=181005951975036&autoLogAppEvents=1’; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

EPL: Gary Lineker blasts VAR, ref over penalty decision in Leicester’s 2-0 win over Arsenal

November 9, 2019 Loadedrace 0

Former England professional footballer, Gary Lineker, has given his verdict on the penalty decision by VAR in Leicester City’s 2-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday. Leicester had the better of the first half exchanges at the King Power Stadium against Arsenal side struggling under Unai Emery. In the tenth minute, Leicester thought they should have had a penalty. Caglar Soyuncu darted in towards the back post to try and attack a cross from the left hand side but appeared to be pulled back by Matteo Guendouzi. However, after a swift check by the VAR official, no spot-kick was awarded. And former Leicester player, Lineker blasted VAR for the intricacies of the offside law while not giving penalties for situations like that. Lineker tweeted, “One replay was enough to see that that was a penalty on Soyuncu. Not given, of course, but they’ll spend 3 minutes playing with their silly offside lines to try and rule out goals. Weird.” (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = ‘https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v3.2&appId=420332301344305&autoLogAppEvents=1’; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = ‘https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v3.2&appId=181005951975036&autoLogAppEvents=1’; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));
